Pigment Yellow 184 is know as bismuth vanadate yellow and is manufactured by dissolving bismuth
nitrate, sodium vanadate, and sodium molybdate in nitric acid followed by precipitation of a complex mixture of
the metals. The pigment is used principally for brilliant solid shades in both automotive and industrial coatings. It is recommended for use in alkyd and acrylic paints, waterbased paints, nitrocellulose lacquers, and baking enamels. The pigment has excellent weather fastness coupled with good hiding power and gloss retention (light fastness).Thermal stability is also good. The pigment has found use in replacing lead-based pigments in such traditional colors as “school bus yellow” as well as chrome and cadmium pigments.
Recommended for automotive paints, architectural paints, industrial paints, powder coatings.
Can be applied to coil coatings, PVC, rubber, PS, PP, PE, PU.
