Hermcol®Red BRN is a medium to slightly bluish red pigment, which probably reigns supreme within its class. It is broad in scope and is mainly used to color plastics, including spin dyeing products. The commercially available types of the acicular pigment differ considerably in terms of particle size, consequently demonstrating a range of coloristic properties. This is especially true for the tinctorial strength. Hermcol®Red BRN is almost completely fast to migration in plasticized PVC. It’s very fast to light. Its weather fastness in rigid PVC is less satisfactory, it fails to meet the standards of long-term exposure. Throughout the paint industry, Hermcol®Red BRN functions as a pigment in general industrial coatings, automotive finishes, and architectural paints.
